BikeBack ("the App") is developed by Digital Gemba, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our App.

No Data Collected

BikeBack collects no data whatsoever. There are no accounts, no servers, no analytics, no third-party SDKs, and no tracking. We have no way to access your information. This matches our App Store privacy label: Data Not Collected.

How BikeBack Works

BikeBack connects to your Bluetooth cycling rear-view radar over Bluetooth Low Energy. When the radar detects approaching vehicles, BikeBack plays voice alerts through your iPhone speaker or Bluetooth headphones. All communication is a direct Bluetooth connection between your phone and your radar — nothing touches the internet and nothing passes through any server.

Information Stored on Your Device

The App stores the following data locally on your iPhone:

• Paired device: The identifier of your paired radar, so it can auto-reconnect on future rides.
• Preferences: Settings such as alert sensitivity, voice vs. tone mode, and whether you've completed onboarding.

This data is stored using iOS UserDefaults and never leaves your device.

Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, transmit, or have access to:

• Personal information such as your name, email, or contacts
• Location data
• Radar detection data or vehicle information
• Analytics or usage data
• Device identifiers
• Crash reports
• Any data whatsoever

No Accounts Required

BikeBack does not require any account creation, login, or registration.

No Third-Party Services or SDKs

The App contains zero third-party SDKs. No analytics, no advertising frameworks, no tracking pixels, no cloud services. The only communication is the Bluetooth Low Energy connection between your iPhone and your cycling radar.

Permissions Explained

BikeBack requests one iOS permission:

• Bluetooth: To connect to your cycling radar and to route audio through Bluetooth headphones.

Data Deletion

All data is stored locally on your device. Deleting the app removes all data permanently.

Children's Privacy

The App does not collect any information from anyone, including children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
